Following a 4+1 format, the Communication Sciences and Disorders B.S. fast forwards SU education by prepping pre-professional majors for an immediate master’s that fulfills ASHA certification standards treating speech difficulties. The 166-credit, rigorous option led by Dr. Karen Doherty, the 2007 Faculty Recognition Award recipient, costs $45,150 annually with an optional Neuroscience Specialization. Students may also practice in the Gebbie Clinic, intern at Crouse Hospital, serve in Prague, join the NSSHLA, enjoy Speech Treat Fridays, and use the Aphasia Lab.
